Thursday evening, the Wolf Den of Cub Scout Pack 158 toured the recently completed facility. McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren arranged for the tour or the empty cell block.
Think Elvis Presley’s “Rock Around the Clock” with second graders and you’ll have something of an idea of what happened. Perhaps, one could describe it better as a giant playpen for seven and eight-year-olds.
The Sheriff’s rules did not allow us to take pictures inside, but the boys were in fine spirits before going behind locked doors.
