Huntley Education Support Personnel Negotiators Named

Two members of the Huntley School District 158 board of education who are not exactly lovie-dovey were designated to negotiate the contract with the district’s Huntley Education Support Personnel Association.

It was right at the beginning of the May 17th board meeting, to which no newspaper assigned a reporter. The school board members had just come out of executive session, where they presumably discussed matters such as this.

School Board President Shawn Green made a motion that he and Larry Snow named to the negotiating committee, with Tony Quagliano to be the alternate.

Board member Kim Sjaka objected to immediate consideration.

The motion passed later in the meeting.

When contacted for a comment, Snow said, “I think we can do this much more amicably and far more quickly than the teachers’ contact.”
