Message of the Day – Waiting

Before a kid can get on a ride, he sometimes has to wait.

Even if it costs $4.

My 9-year old was the recipient of $20 worth of tickets, which the young Chinese political leaders who visited June 24th gave to me when they left on the train back to Chicago at 5 PM.

He took a friend and they went on two rides together.

But when you divide $20 by $8, you get $4 left over.

My son wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel.

Even if he had to go alone.

The operator balanced the load, which meant three men got to go ahead of him.

He waited patiently.

And, he got a very long ride.

Sitting all by himself.

In seat number 10.

Very brave.
