Republicans Finally Welcome Conservatives

For the first time in my memory a McHenry County Republican group is promoting an event to “conservatives.”

Trying to attract the party’s base.

That’s incredible, but that’s what the Northwest Herald article says.

In any event, the Nunda Township Republican Committee is holding a picnic from 10-4 this Saturday at the township office.

Nunda Township offices are not the easiest to find, so let me offer some help.

If you are going north from Crystal Lake on Walkup Avenue, the road I call the McHenry Blacktop, look for signs pointing right to the township offices. There are two. One at Pleasant Hill and the other at Edgewood. If you reach the “S” curve you have gone too far. Go over the railroad track and turn left off Pleasant Hill or right off Edgewood.

The offices are on Bay Road, which is parallel to the blacktop and Route 31. If you need help, click on the map and it will get bigger.

There will be a moonwalk and a drug sniffing dog from the Sheriff’s Department for the kids and Tom McDermott’s Dixie Lane Band for music.

Pictures of Republican Precinct Committeeman Tom McDermott’s fire engine with the Sinful Saints playing on top were taken at the 4th of July Parade in Crystal Lake.
