Message of the Day – A Book

Here’s my nomination for “best summer read”:

“The Traitor”
by Steven Coonts

I guess one could call it a Jake Grafton novel, but Grafton, a top secret agent, terrorist fighter guy who reports directly to the President is a secondary character in this book.

The main character is a guy who would be in jail if he weren’t doing the terrorist disruption work that Grafton tells him to do.

I’ve read at least one other of Coonts’ Jack Grafton novels.

My follow-up novel is the 1990 Robert Ludlum “The Bourne Ultimatum.” I read the more recent follow-up novel by Eric Van Lustbader, “The Bourne Legacy,” last summer and didn’t know why this old one would be featured at Sam’s Club. Now I see a movie is coming out. I tried to rent the first two movies in the series at Dollar Video, but they were out until Wednesday.

And, no, Ludlum’s book does not move as fast as Coonts, but I try to read some every night.
