Saturday, the internet version of the Northwest Herald laid editorial hands on McHenry County College’s baseball stadium. It appeared in the print edition on Sunday.

Its editorial board seems to have no problem because residential development with storm sewers is not involved.

Unmentioned are the 1,000 to 1,500 additional acres of farmland that look like prime development targets to others.

Nor does the Herald mention the extensive commercial development that is almost sure to follow along Route 14 north of Route 176.

All involve potential advertisers, of course, and maximizing revenue is, after all, the goal of all profit-making businesses.
