Illinois Civil Justice League Names Senator Chris Lauzen a “Friend of Fairness”

Chicago-The Illinois Justice League (ICJL), recently named Senator Chris Lauzen (R
Illinois Senate) and candidate for the 14th Congressional District, a “Friend of Fairness” on civil justice issues in the Illinois State Legislature.

“It is important that Illinois voters know where their legislators stand on issues relating to the reform of our state’s troubled legal system,” said Edward Murnane, president of ICJL.

“When any group, whether its trial lawyers or anyone else, have unchecked power in the political system, we all lose,” Lauzen said. “I am grateful that the ICJL has named me a ‘Friend of Fairness’ on behalf of my constituents…I look forward to continuing my 15-year record of common-sense civil justice votes in Washington if I’m elected to Congress.”

The Illinois Justice League is a coalition of Illinois citizens, small and large businesses, associations, professional societies, not-for-profit organizations and local governments that have joined together to work for fairness in the Illinois civil justice system.
