McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce officially opens the local KUMON Math & Reading Center during ceremony

McHenry, Illinois, October 8, 2007- Announcing the official opening of the Kumon Math & Learning Center of McHenry with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the officers of the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, October 12th at 11 a.m.. All chamber members and the media are invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held at the center, located at the corner of Pearl Street and Richmond Road (Rte. 31), just north of Rte. 120. A tour of the center and complimentary refreshments will be provided.

“I look forward to working with parents, the community and other educators in making a difference for children in this area,” said Maureen Lilleeng, instructor and director of the Kumon Math & Reading Center of McHenry. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with young people and watch as they not only improve their math and reading skills, but also build confidence in their abilities.” Lilleeng said.

An Open House for the general public is planned for Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center. Events planned include: live piano music, face painting and refreshments. Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the Kumon method and schedule their children for free, no-obligation placement testing. The Center classes are on Mondays and Thursdays from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
