Junkyard Metal and Hose

More junk on the property of Paul Iverson north of Crystal Lake.

McHenry County let a bid to Omega Demolition to clean it up.

The cost was supposed to be $22,000.

A bit more than the $1 bid by one of veterans’ advocate John Blanchard’s entities that wanted the job to create jobs for unemployed veterans and was going to use the junk to pay the salaries

But, hey, for $22,000 you ought to get a first class clean up, right?

The Covered Bridge Trails subdivision people complained for years about the mess.

And, finally, a clean up was supposed to be completed by the third week of August, according to the bid specs.

Doesn’t look like it was cleaned up when this picture was taken, does it?

After enlarging the photo by clicking on it, can you tell what the metal is to the left of the hose?
