“Please note, quote wasn’t taken out of context"

So, when Huntley School Board President Shawn Green called minority school board members Aileen Seedorf and Larry Snow “terrorists,” Daily Herald reporter Jameel Naqvi wrote a story.

There was negative reaction. Even after that negative reaction, Green refused to apologize.

At the school board meeting held the night the article appeared, Green asserted that reporter Naqvi had taken his words out of context.

Now, Naqvi has written an column entitled,

Perhaps more astounding was that Daily Herald editors allowed its columnist to refer to comments on the Northwest Herald’s web site

What does Naqvi conclude?

”As for me, I think almost every board member has crossed the line at some point, and probably will again.

“But Green’s comment was a low blow and entirely inappropriate — regardless of whether you support him or the board members some bloggers have unaffectionately nicknamed ‘Snowdorf.’”
