Have any idea what a valve vault is?

I surely did not as I walked around Downtown Crystal Lake on Wednesday. Men were digging on the south side of the railroad tracks near the veterans memorial.

“What’s that?” I asked.

One of the supervisors replied that it was “a valve vault.”

The men had completed the valve’s installation and were ready to cover it up.

Pretty fascinating.
