Franks Has $167,000 in Campaign Cash with No Opponent; Increase of $13,000

With no opponent in sight for state representative, Jack Franks (D-Marengo) increased his campaign operating capital $13,000 in the last six months.

Franks has extremely high “maintenance” expenditures, $112,500 during the last six months.

That’s a reduction from the $181,500 during the last six months of 2007 of which $195 went to Republican McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren.

Among Franks 2008 contributors was Republican McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler, who gave $250 from his campaign committee. Sheriff Nygren contributed the same amount.

2006 Republican candidate for governor Judy Baar Topinka also contributed $500.
