Greenberg Presents Economic Plan

LONG GROVE 9/24/08 – Small business owner and Republican Nominee for the 8th Congressional District of Illinois released the following statement regarding Congress’ and the federal government’s efforts to address the financial crisis:

“Our nation faces a remarkable economic crisis. While I have full faith in our free market system, the market is not currently functioning and we are left with little choice but to resort to immediate and extraordinary action. Congress must act without delay and enact the economic recovery plan.

“The economic recovery plan will provide relief for Main Street America by stabilizing the markets and allowing credit to flow. It will allow hard-working families to stay in their homes, purchase a vehicle and send their kids to college. It will allow small business owners to secure credit in order to grow and manage their business. However, we must ensure that the final plan does not allow CEO’s to benefit when their companies have failed employees and stockholders. We need to ensure that taxpayers are not stuck with the bill for Wall Street’s mistakes.”
