McHenry Township Republicans Have Over $7,000

While Cary Grade School 26 Board member Chris Jenner made a pitch for people to run for local office, he didn’t include township office on his list.

Not only are school board, park district, municipal, park and library district offices up for election, the really good paying township offices will be on the ballot next spring.

McHenry Township’s officials have their own little kitty in preparation for any challengers.

Called the “McHenry Township Republican Team Fund,” its state purpose is

“To support good representative Republicans in McHenry Twp.”

And, they had $7,077 in the bank at the beginning of July.

Contributors of more than $150 are

  • $160 – Baxter & Woodman Engineers
  • $160 – Citizens for Lou Bianchi
  • $210 – Donna Schaefer
  • $250 – Citizens for Beaubien
  • $300 – Berger Excavating
  • $300 – Matuszewich Kelly & McKeever L.L.P.

Perhaps showing that it is not just aimed at the re-election or election of township officials is a $500 contribution to the McHenry County Young Republicans.

I have to admit to being envious. When I was president of the YR’s, I don’t remember the YR’s getting a dime from the types of GOP committees and office holders who are contributing big bucks now.

The group has scheduled a Monday, October 13th wine tasting for elected McHenry Township officials. The McHenry Township Republican Team Fund is the name for the McHenry Township Republican Central Committee. Tickets are $5 a person. The event is from 5:30-7 PM at Corkscrew Pointe, McHenry. Contact person is Kathy Kuchta 815-759-1724.
