Message of the Day – A Hawk

While I was putting up signs about the Bull Valley annexation referendum on Crystal Springs Road near Resurrection Center, I saw this hawk flying over the woods.

Then, there was a second hawk.

I tried to focus the camera but it had a hard time taking.

I just couldn’t get the lens to focus on both of the birds of prey.

Finally, I got this shot.

Not as close as I would have wished, but beautiful against the thinly clouded blue sky.

  1. Having been recently informed of this “unbiased” and “informative” blog, I had to stop by and see what all the commotion was about. I live just outside the Village of Bull Valley municipal limits and I am appalled at the slanderous attack against this fine community and its Village leaders.

Here are the facts that I can glean from this website and from the public record (which interestingly enough is not fully or accurately disclosed in the postings by the author and blog owner of this site) Tsk Tsk.

    1. The subject property that is on the November 4, 2008 Referendum was legally annexed by the Village of Bull Valley as documented in court proceedings that the Village was a party to.

    2. Both the author and blog owner of this site, the law firm of Robert J. Wagner PC and the law firm of Peter Callas have enriched themselves by dragging this matter to the November 4th election. The law firm of Robert J. Wagner PC, using a hard to locate website (due to its hard to remember URL) has claimed that the Village has spent funds on defending the Village’s LEGAL ANNEXATION of the property, the real truth is that the “bad actors” in this matter are not the Bull Valley officials. Rather it is the two aforementioned law firms and a certain blogger that have caused unnecessary costs to the VIllage of Bull Valley. But this is the American way, correct?

    3. It would be interesting to see as public record the fees(direct and indirect) that the two law firms and this site’s blogger have received from the estate(s) or alleged heirs.

    4. It would seem that the main motivation here is to enrich the lawyers. Not the lawyers representing the Village of Bull Valley but rather the lawyers who have sent at least 4 mailings (at the expense of their deceased client(s)).

In my view, the Village of Bull Valley has continued to do what is best for the residents of Bull Valley and the surrounding county neighbors; protect the rural nature of the area and ensure that the density of any proposed development does not cause irreparable harm to the beauty of this wonderful area.

God bless us all and please vote Yes on this referendum on November 4th.
