Message of the Day – Hanging Out
One of my son’s favorite rides at Disney World is Soarin’.
Oh, the wait is long, even with a Fast Pass, but my 11-year old thinks it is worth the wait.
It’s a simple ride.
You get strapped into seats and then each row is lifted in the air 15 to 20 feet.
In the beginning, it feels something like a Ferris Wheel as it is loading or discharging new riders. You rock back and forth until the row stabilizes.
You’re just hanging out like the photo above.Then, there is a movie complete with smell-o-vision of orange groves, evergreen trees, diving above white water rafters, above the San Francisco Bay Bridge and other West Coast attractions, including, of course, Disney Land.
