Discrimination Suit against McHenry County Sheriff’s Department Makes Fox TV

Blame my watching “24” tonight for having caught Fox News at 9 o’clock Sunday night.

(And, don’t call between 7 and 9 Monday night!)

Fox News reported about Zane Seipler’s suit claiming discrimination against Latinos is a regular occurrence in the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department.

My main story, entitled

pretty much describes the charges and counter charges.

The show featured an interview with attorney Blake Horwitz (seen above), the attorney for Seipler.

The inspiration for the Fox story was an article on Friday in La Raza, a Chicago Spanish language newspaper.

The news reader mispronounced Nygren’s last name. much as the Chicago Sun-Times misspelled McHenry County Sheriff Hank Nulle’s name as “Mulle” in 1981 in a story about the murders of Lakemoor bar owner Ron Scharff and first day waitress Patricia Freeman.
