Challenger Linda Moore Apparent Winner over Incumbent John Rossi in Grafton Township Supervisor Race

Excluding absentee and early voting results, Linda Moore has beaten incumbent Grafton Township Supervisor 128 votes – 977 to 849.

I looked at the results in seven Crystal Lake precincts and Moore had a lead of 109 votes.

Of course, it looked as if Moore had been elected to the Huntley School Board two years ago when I went to sleep two years ago.

Then, the absentee ballots were added and she lost by 14 votes.

I looked at seven Crystal Lake precincts. Rossi tied one and carried one. Moore was ahead in the rest.

When interviewed, Moore told McHenry County Blog,

“I am honored to have the confidence of the voters. Now, it’s time to come together to address the issues that have come to light in this election.

“This was a referendum to see whether the taxpayers wanted a new $3.5 million township hall and it appears that the voters said, ‘No.’”

Thursday night the Grafton Township Board holds it first post-primary election meeting.

In the photo above you can see Linda Moore handing literature to Milford Brown, who is running for the Huntley Fire Protection District Board. Sitting behind the table is her daughter Abby Moore, a senior at Huntley High School planning to study pharmaceutical science. Her son Andrew, attending college in Florida, is one of the absentee ballots.
