Message of the Day – A License Plate

In Mesa Verde, I found this license plate on a Volvo outside of the visitors’ center.

The South Carolina plate says,

SIRNURSE

The state’s slogan is

Nothing Could Be Finer

I remember that one of my Boy Scout leaders at the First Methodist Church of Middletown, N.Y., in 1956-58 was a nurse at the local hospital.

Boy, was he a pioneer.

A commenter points out I have added an “R” where none exits on the license plate.

It really reads, “SIRNUSE.”

  1. I might suggest that you maybe not type below in block letters what you think the slogans, license plates, t-shirts, etc. say in your own words… because not always what you think it says is actually what is written.

It says.. SIRNUSE — not SIRNURSE.

Suggesting maybe this person is a newspaper reporter or columnist? I fail to see how a nurse fits into this license plate… unless I am completely dimwitted and don't get it.

    If so, then I digress…
