McHenry County Democratic Party State’s Attorney Candidate Tom Cynor Keeps Money in Campaign Account

Prior to the 2008 McHenry County State’s Attorney’s election, Democrat Tom Cynor loaned his committee $35,000.

That was on top of the $15,000 he pumped in during May.

Incumbent Republican Lou Bianchi acted as if Cynor were going to spend the $35,000. I figured it could pay for one mailing. One press release warned of a last minute smear.

But the Democratic Party candidate did not spend the $35,000.

With the election long over, Cynor has opted to leave the money in his campaign fund.

He has $35,357.80 in “funds available at the close of the reporting period.”
