Only 28 People File for McHenry County Democratic Party Precinct Committeeman as of Friday – 13% of Precincts Covered So Far

Here it is one day before the end of filing for public and party office and only 28 out of 212 McHenry County precincts have Democratic Party candidates for what local party officials call “precinct representative.”

I listed every precinct—full and empty—for the Republican Party yesterday, but it is less work just to just to type the names of the 28 Democrats who filed for precinct committeeman for the Democratic Party as of Friday, so that’s what appears below. There are 212 precincts, so just 13% of the precincts are covered.

I think it is fair to say that these folks represent the sinew that holds the local party together.
