8th District Watch – Dirk Beveridge Endorsed by Cuba Township

Here’s an overlooked press release from 8th congressional district Republican candidate Dirk Beveridge. It tells of his endorsement by Cuba Township Republicans. Cuba Township is in the far southwestern corner of Lake County, east of Algonquin Township.

Beveridge Endorsed by Cuba Township GOP

December 11, 2009. Barrington, Ill. — Today, Dirk Beveridge, Republican candidate for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, announced the race’s first political endorsement of the primary season.

Following intensive interviews and presentations from all Republican candidates, Dirk Beveridge rose to the top for his smart, commonsense stand on re-building the American dream,” announced Tom Gooch, Chairman, Cuba Township Republican Committee.

“In addition to his priority position on fiscal responsibility and limited government, Cuba Township republicans recognize Beveridge as a strong candidate with an organization in place to beat the Democrat incumbent, Melissa Bean.”

Cuba Township Republican Organization represents an important block of voters in Lake County voting district of the 8th Congressional District.  Dirk Beveridge was also awarded “preferred candidate” status by the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization. 

Last month, Dirk Beveridge picked up key endorsements from Village of Barrington trustees, Jim Daluga and Steve Miller; Wauconda Township Republican GOP captain, Bob Cook and McHenry County Board Member, Barb Wheeler.

A mainstream, conservative Republican, Dirk W. Beveridge (48), is a resident of the Village of Barrington, a business owner and founder of We Do Care a non-profit, grass roots “Support the Troops” sponsoring the Annual 9.11 Mile Freedom Run and Freedom Festival.
