Party Scheduled for Retiring Undersheriff Gene Lowery
McHenry County Undersheriff Gene Lowery, the man selected by Crystal Lake to be its new deputy police chief, will be honored at a retirement party in Union April 9th.
The details, obtained from the McHenry County Republican Central Committee, are below:
Lowery’s county salary is $136,544.
Why is the Republican party throwing a party for a guy that is about to collect a pension and have a $95,000 a year job. The man isn’t retiring. He will continued to be employed. When I retired I don’t remember the Republican party throwing me a shin dig. I may declare myself an independent soon.
Has this man ever been elected to anything? Committeemen, anything? I don’t get it
