Open Meetings Act Training Monday Night in Cary

June 13, 2010 By: Cal Skinner Category: Cary, Cary Grade School District, Chris Jenner, McHenry County State's Attorney, Open Meetings Act

Know a public official who needs some training in the requirements of the Open Meetings Act?

Cary Grade School District 26 is hosting the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office on Monday night and you as a citizen and any elected official is invited. The details from Board member Chris Jenner follow:

As you likely know, District 26 has scheduled a training session on the Open Meetings Act, provided by the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s office.

While the training is directed at the District 26 Board of Education and Administration, you, other members of the media, and the general public, are all welcome to attend.
This is something we can all benefit from, and I don’t anticipate any objections to the price (it’s free).

The training will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. this Monday, June 14, at Cary Junior High, 2109 Crystal Lake Road in Cary. A notice of the meeting is posted at http://www.cary26.org/documents/6-14-10SpecialAgendaBOE.pdf.
