Message of the Day – The Old Lamplighter
This "Ol' Lamplighter" doesn't walk the streets of Lakewood. He drives from gas lamp to gas lamp.
Actually, this is a modern version in the Village of Lakewood, Illinois.
But it is a gas lantern, which is a trademark of the Country Club Additions Subdivision, at lease on Lake Avenue.
This photo was taken in November. A Lakewood employee was making sure the gas lights would be in good shape for the winter.
