From Crystal Lake's city newsletter.

The City of Crystal Lake’s summer “City Letter” offers the following suggestion for “Excessive heat”:

“If you are outdoors – Use a public pool to cool down your body temperature and prevent heat-related illnesses...”

The only problem with the suggestion, obviously newsletter filler not written by a Crystal Lake resident, is that Crystal Lake does not have a “public pool.”
We have a lake.

A hot July day saw lots of people gathering at the Crystal Lake Park District's Main Beach...even through they must pay a new $1 entrance fee.

It’s called Crystal Lake.

Next summer Crystal Lake residents can also dip themselves into Vulcan Lake (or whatever it will be called by newcomers).
