Pam Althoff ready for retail campaigning at McHenry's Fiesta Days Parade.

The State Senator whose district covers most of McHenry County has scheduled two events to fill her coffers for the 2012 election, when all legislators will be on the ballot because of reapportionment.

One will be in McHenry, the other on Chicago’s lakefront.

There will be a $50 champagne reception at the McHenry Country Club on September 9th. It starts at 5:30. If you want to be a sponsor, it will cost $500.

The second fundraiser is September 23rd in Downtown Chicago at the Chicago Yacht Club from 5:30 to 7.

“Join Senator Pamela Althoff for an evening on Lake Michigan,”

the invitation reads.

Don’t get excited. There won’t be a cruise on the lake.

“ Yacht remains dockside for duration of the event” is the word.

The price of this event is substantially higher than the one in Althoff’s district.

She is charging $1,000 per “traveler,” cut to $1,500 for “you and you first mate” or $2,500 for four “voyagers.”

“In recognition of the Illinois Municipal League Conference, please feel free to invite a Mayor as Senator Althoff’s guest,” the invitation concludes.
