When I saw Crystal Lake Mayor Aaron Shepley at Friday’s grand opening of the Crystal Lake Republican Headquarters, I asked him if he were running for re-election, as are the three other members of the council whose terms of office are expiring.

Without hesitation, he said he was.

Last time he was challenged by Lori Phelps.
