Military Ballots Being Mailed in McHenry County Despite Unsettled Constitution Party Suit

Here's what the front page of the military ballot web site looks like.

If you have a friend or relative serving in the military and would like to help them get a ballot, I would suggest you go to this web site or call the McHenry County Clerk’s Office at 815-334-4242.

And, if you would like to read how the Democrats try to suppress the military vote, here is a Mike Roykoish column on the subject by John F. di Leo that was published on Illinois Review. It’s long, but does remind me of the way Royko communicated.

Even though conspiratorial thinkers might agree with the message in the column referenced above, that is, that Democrats deliberately delay the mailing of military ballots because those in the Armed Forces are less likely than average to vote Democratic, McHenry County Clerk Kathie Schultz has not delayed putting them in the mail, even though the ballots being mailed may not be final.

The Constitution Party is suing to get on the ballot because the Illinois State Board of Elections ruled that it did not have 25,000 good signatures.

A Cook County judge has the case.

An election official could use that court case to delay sending out the military ballots.

Kudos for Schultz for not doing so.

Schultz informs me that she is unaware of any jurisdiction that is awaiting the outcome of the suit.
