Predatory Sexual Assault
On 09-18-10, Harvard Police received a report that a female 4 yoa, victim was sexually assaulted at a residence in Harvard previously in the day.
It was reported a 51 yoa male suspect engaged in sexual conduct with the victim.

Subsequent investigation into the matter resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant on 10-15-10 for the suspect, Mario Ramirez (m/ 51 yoa) of 1312 Sage Ln. Harvard.
He was charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of A Child, a class X felony and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a class 2 felony there was no bond set.
At about 12:10 hrs, the Harvard Police Department assisted the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department in the arrest of the suspect, Mario Ramirez at him home.
Ramirez was arrested without incident and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
The real story here is who is this guy and why would Harvard PD wait a month to release the information? He was released from jail after his 15 October 2010 arrest and went right back to the victim’s residence at 401 Dewey where police found him on the evening of the same date.
it called an investigtion Larry. Sounds like the PD took the report on 9-18-10 as the release states. I know most police departments do some investigation before they run out and throw cuffs on somebody. I applaud the fine men at my hometown PD for making an arrest and taking another idiot off the streets.
Where do you get that the subject bonded out and then went back to 401 Dewey St?
larry, i dint know where you get your info from,but he didn’t get released he is still in jail and he didn’t go back to the victims house

I suppose you’d rather have the PD issue a press release and arrest someone from the get-go and just forego ensuring what actually happened?
Imagine if you were suspected of a crime (any crime), I hazard to guess you’d want a fully and impartial investigation in to the allegations.
These charges are life changing (if proven true or not), and seems like the PD took the investigation seriously.
