It’s “Plus 5” in the counting of outstanding ballots in McHenry County’s portion of the 8th Congressional District.
One ballot came from Great Britain, as one can tell from the stamps.
Here’s how the thirty extra district ballots were cast
- 17 – Joe Walsh
- 12 – Melissa Bean
- 1 – Bill Scheurer
The 5:00 Channel 7 newscast said that ALL absentee ballots have now been counted with Walsh up by 291 votes. Cook County still has approximately 100 provisional ballots to address but that quantity would not be enough to overtake Walsh’s lead even if they all went to Bean.
