State Senator Dan Duffy is starting his third year in Springfield.
He and all other state legislators, county board members, congressmen and precinct committeemen will be up for election in 2012. The filing of petitions will be in December of THIS year.
With that in mind, take a listen to what Duffy said two years ago during the Rod Blagojevich impeachment trial.
Here’s his email of introduction:
“I am exactly half way through my four year term. Senate staff sent me the attached clip of my first speech, two years ago, on the senate floor. I thought you would find it interesting. This clip is from the Blagojevich Impeachment Tribunal (the clip is 3 minutes long).
“Issues I discussed then, I continue to work on now.
“Making speeches like this is why I am not real ‘popular’ with Springfield insiders.
“Working to change the ‘culture of corruption’ in Springfield is proving to be a daily battle.
“I will not give up the fight.
“It has been an honor serving the people of Illinois.”
So, here Obama gives us a 1 year reprieve on some SS taxes, causing this service to go more into the red.
On the second hand, now our glorious state legislators take that same money to help fill their budget gaps due to THEIR poor fiscal responsibility…. ANOTHER DEMOCRATIC SHELL GAME, 1 year reprieve for a “TEMPORARY” multi year tax increase.
Let’s see how temporary this increase really is.
You want to create a business environment, you want people to work, yet all you do is take, take, take and give back to the unions.
LETS VOTE THEM ALL OUT AGAIN in 2012, ANYONE WOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS BUNCH OF CLOWNS!!!!
