$5.85 per Vote for McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler Re-Election

McHenry County Board Chairman Ken Koehler spent over $16,000 to win re-election.

Starting with about $4,500 in the bank on July 1st, he raised about $12,300 (including in-kind contributions) of during the last six months of 2010.

So, Koehler spent pretty much everything he had.

$12.24 is left.

All county board members must face the voters in 2012.

Koehler placed second to running mate Donna Kurtz in November.

He received 5,787 votes to Kurtz’ 7,202. Democrat Mark Booras got 4,587.

Since the top two were elected, Koehler won by 800 votes.

The cost per vote was $5.85.
