Quinn Welshes on Bear-Packer Bet

Maybe Governor Pat Quinn feared this Tea Party demonstrator might show up in front of the Milwaukee food distribution center or maybe the Saturday sign actually worked.
OK. So to “Welsh” on a bet is probably an ethnic slur.
Sorry, if there any Welshmen who read McHenry County Blog, but that’s what came to mind this afternoon when I heard that Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was refusing to work in a Milwaukee food pantry to pay off the debt resulting from his losing bet on the Chicago Bears against the Green Bay Packers.
He didn’t way it was because the food depository in question was a non-union shop.
He excuse was his policy disagreement with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on the collective bargaining legislation Walker has apparently convinced a majority of both legislative chambers to pass…if one Democratic Party State Senator will show up for work.
Some might just conclude that Quinn is a poor loser.
Sue Holman McCarville commented under the WBBM Radio story:
“Well…. add this to the list of things that the poor state of Illinois is behind on paying off.”

You can’t trust Quinn on anything including a simple wager on a football game.
This makes Blago look good!
1Welsh nothing. He is a liar.
