Melissa Bean Will Not Challenge Joe Walsh in 2012

Melissa Bean worked the entrance to the McHenry County Fair last August.

Melissa Bean has used a Washington inside dopester publication Roll Call to reveal that she will not be trying to regain her old congressional seat in 2012.

Although the closest race in the nation for Congress with a 291 victory margin for Republican Joe Walsh, Bean has decided to stay with the job she just got as Executive Director of the Executives’ Club of Chicago.

The publication says that Illinois Democrats may try to eliminate Walsh’s 8th Congressional District since the state will have one fewer district than during the last decade.

  1. That’s too bad. Walsh it an idiot! I can’t wait to get rid of him.

  2. Please run against that intransigent fundamentalist Joe Walsh. After this debt limit debacle, no republicans will be save. You can win. You only lost by 700 votes

  3. Please, Please someone run against this lying corporate stooge! Walsh is a typical tea party moron, he is bought and paid for by corporations and the uninformed voters put him into office by the slimmest of margins! Every time he opens his mouth he lies and some corporation cuts him a check. Make no doubt about it Walsh, and the rest of the racist Tea Party, are just another version of the Republican Party!

  4. You actually had townhalls we could participate in and talk and say what we thought whether we agreed with you or not, please run again. Not only will I vote, but I will join your campaign.

  5. Walsh is an idiot and we definitely need to kick him out of office but please keep the following facts in mind next year:

*In 2008, Bean received more money from the Chamber of Commerce than any other House incumbent.

*Bean has received over 40% of her 2009 campaign contributions from the finance, insurance and real estate sector.

*Bean was one of the lead authors of a letter calling for Congress to modify tax law to reduce tax rates on income over $250,000 per year.

Don’t get me wrong, I would rather have ANY democrat in our congressional seat than the lunatic (Walsh) we have now!

  6. Please reconsider your decision not to run. Your district needs you.

  7. melissa, you made me proud as my congresswoman.

I believe I understand your need to get on with your life, but if you did run I’d %100 support you.

It’s so hard to find a competent pro-business candidate these days.

Joe Walsh is in theory supporting good economics, but his execution, performance, and actual understanding of business is pitiful.

Hopefully he’ll be replaced with a more competent leader.
