A press release from Grafton Township Supervisor Linda Moore:

Grafton Township Supervisor Announces Repayment of Loan

Linda Moore

Grafton Township Supervisor Linda Moore announced today that she had negotiated a repayment arrangement with Harris Bank that provided for early repayment of $400,000 on the loan previously secured to pay for the now abandoned project to build a new town hall.

Supervisor Moore said,

“I am very pleased that Harris Bank has worked with us to provide a partial payment of a substantial indebtedness which we have incurred.

“This agreement will save Grafton Township taxpayers about $235,000 over the course of the loan. I have consistently fought for the Grafton Township taxpayers who elected me to watch out for their tax dollars.

“This is a victory for all sides of Grafton Township.”

Proposed Grafton Township Hall proposed for Haligus Road.

Moore went on to say that there are certain bank requirements for repayment. She has had her differences with the board but she was sure that they would cooperate to save the taxpayers this large sum of money.

Moore went on to thank Highway Commissioner Jack Freund for his cooperation in the matter and Moore said,

“I look forward to the re-negotiation of a much more favorable lease with the Highway Commissioner, since his interest cost in the loan had been reduced.”

Moore said that there is a May 31 deadline for the payment.

  1. “I have consistently fought for the Grafton Township taxpayers who elected me to watch out for their tax dollars.”

You have got to be kidding!! From day 1 you have initiated more lawsuits than anyone could do in their lifetime. How can you possibly say that you watch out for our tax dollars??? OMG …. insane!!!!!!

See you at the meeting tonight. This should be good.

  2. Don’t be fooled. This is just her way of “proving” that she’s looking out for our best interest. The only interests she’s concerned with are her own…..winning the next election. I’m hoping the last twos has proven that she is not capable of effectively running this township. This is merely a smoke and mirrors parlor trick.

I’m more concerned with the EXTRA $200k that was paid to the road district after the taxpayers voted for payment plan. That $400K in just 2 months!!! What happened to the 3-year plan, Linda???!!! YOU HAVE COMPLETELY DISREGARDED THE WISHES OF THE TAXPAYERS!!

  3. The part I don’t understand is that the taxpayers were repeatedly told at the townhall meeting that the loan could not be partially paid off early. This was one of the biggest arguments for the lump sum payoff that would have bankrupt the township. Now, Linda tells us that she is looking out for the taxpayers, and partially paying off the loan.

Sounds to me like we were lied to.

  4. @ Jack,
Yes, Linda continues to lie and spins the truth to fit her agenda. It doesn’t matter what anybody says or does. It doesn’t matter what the taxpayers want, she does whatever SHE wants.

    @ Linda,
You’re a disgrace to all that is good!

“This agreement will save Grafton Township taxpayers about $235,000 over the course of the loan. I have consistently fought for the Grafton Township taxpayers who elected me to watch out for their tax dollars.”

Just wondering how many tax dollars might have been saved had you NOT continually filed law suits….over $500 grand, maybe $600 by now? How many more are to come?

You do not represent this Grafton Township taxpayer!

  5. When is she up for re-election and who is willing to stand up and run against her. It is time that we as citizens take our government offices back by holding elected officials accountable.

Commenting here is good however we need to start talking to our friends and neighbors to get the truth out NOW that we need a change.
