A press release from McHenry County Board member Jim Schlader:
Jim Schlader announced his candidacy for McHenry County Board 3rd District to a packed crowd at Corkscrew Pointe in McHenry last night. It was a night filled with merriment and laughter, as the candidate and his supporters toasted the start of his campaign.
Schalder has said on many occasions that his reason for running for McHenry County Board is not to change, but rather to help preserve
- McHenry County,
- our values and
- our way of life.
Schlader has served as both a Republican Committeeman as well as a Trustee of Nunda Township over the past 10 years and believes that County Board is the next step he can take to serve McHenry County.
The recently renovated Corkscrew Pointe Bistro, sits along the beautiful Fox River in downtown McHenry. It was the perfect location for Schlader’s first campaign stop as it provided all of the amenities which helped make the night special.
The dueling pianos of Mike Lescher and Mike Rodeo provided the lighthearted background as Jim Schalder laid out his commitment to serve the residents as a member of the County Board.
John Macrito the owner of Corkscrew Pointe and a past McHenry County republican committeeman was pleased to welcome Jim Schalder and the crowd he attracted and said he and his team “could not wait to host another event for Schlader.”
Remember that Jim Schlader’s official campaign kick-off fundraiser will be held September 20th 2011 at Prairie Isle Golf course located at 2216 Route 176 Prairie Grove Illinois , the requested donation is $50.00 however McHenry County Republican Committeemen are free. Many said they will be marking their calendars now because it is sure to be a great time.
All said, it was a wonderful night and the next event will be even better. To get involved in Schlader’s campaign, to learn more about how he plans to help restore McHenry County or to make a donation visit his official campaign website at http://www.JimIn2012.com.
