Marshall Lowe put political messates on his sign on Route 14. Last week's was in support of the Distrit 26 School Board.

The teachers in Cary Grade Schools are teaching.

They could be striking as the School Board imposed a contract on them.

But, they’re not striking.

They want to talk more.

The meeting is at the Cary Junior High.

  1. I still can’t believe retiring teachers were getting a $20,000 retirement “bonus”, amongst other perks. And the Board (District/Taxpayers) were paying 4.7% of the supposedly “Teachers” 9.4% contribution to the TRS Pension Plan. Meaning the Teachers were only contributing 1/2, or 4.7%, of their contribution to the pension plan. And the teachers were receiving a 6% salaray increase, each of their last 4 years prior to their retirement. And the teachers were receiving $10 per day up to 90 days of unused sick leave. And the Board (District/Taxpayers) were paying for their graduate degrees! I have never seen all those perks in one contract! That Board was NOT looking out for the taxpayer, that is NOT oversight.

  2. I can't believe it! says:

I can’t wait to see in the next few years how all of this publicity and anger toward our public officials, starting with President Obama, actually affects the taxpayer.

    My guess….. not at all!
