Randy Hultgreen Expresses Disappointment at Joe Walsh Announcement

A press release from Randy Hultgren:

Response from US Rep. Randy Hultgren on US Rep. Walsh’s Recent Announcement

“I’m disappointed that the Congressman from the 8th District has decided to abandon his own district to run against me in a primary,” said US Rep. Randy Hultgren (IL-14).

Randy Hultgren

“By doing so, he’s playing into the hands of the Springfield Democrats and Nancy Pelosi, who have drawn the Congressional map for Illinois specifically to encourage just such a contest.

“The residents of the 14th District are looking for responsible leadership for the long haul, and know that if we are to turn this country around, fix our economy, and put Americans back to work we won’t be able to do it through

  • political grandstanding,
  • sound bites, and
  • name calling.

“Winning the challenge before us takes commitment, experience, and a long term view.

“Throughout the campaign I look forward to proving my

  • pro-business,
  • small-government,
  • pro-freedom record and
  • earning the support of the voters of the 14th District

so I can continue to represent them in Washington for years to come.”

  1. Seriously?
“By doing so, he’s playing into the hands of the Springfield Democrats and Nancy Pelosi, who have drawn the Congressional map for Illinois specifically to encourage just such a contest

He’s simply running in the district he lives in. Would Randy like to pay for Joe to relocate?

  2. Joe did not even have a place to live when he ran for office during the last election cycle. He is like a gypsy who has gone from one district to another for “many” years trying to become a politician. He will say or jump on any band wagon that is passing by if he thinks he can “personally” gain something. He is using the tea party and the 8th dist was his target this time. Also, ask Joe why the magic number is 6 for the years he will serve. Is it because he is such a nobel, honest, man of integrity ? No, its because after 6 years he can collect a nice retirement on the backs of us taxpayers. Not a bad deal for a guy who cannot hold a job and would’nt provide for his own biological children. Wake up people and see this guy for who he truely is.
