Guess Who the Northwest Herald Will Endorse to Replay Sheriff Keith Nygren

Here is your only clue.

This is the article from the front page of the Northwest Herald after Undersheriff Andy Zinke filed campaign disclosure forms with the Illinois State Board of Elections saying that he was a candidate for Sheriff. The election is not until 2011, unless Sheriff Keith Nygren retires.

There is no prize for a correct prediction.

Guess Who the Northwest Herald Will Endorse to Replay Sheriff Keith Nygren — 4 Comments

  1. Just a young Nygren. The paper has always protected Nygren and they will do it for Zinke.

  2. Wonder how a defense attorney would fare running for Sheriff?

    Just Kidding.

  3. What a genius idea “Watching!!” Just think of the money the county tax payers would save!!

How about everybody who enters this Political arena, get a back bone, and know that if you’re going to dish it out, you’re going to have to take it as well.

Stop with all the Law Suits already, and let’s let those who have been elected do their jobs, and if they don’t, then don’t re-elect them.

I think we should give Mr. Zinke a fair shake as well as to anybody else who might have the courage to step into the “Octagon!”

This would mean in order for this to work, the NW Herald would also have to report the good and bad news, equally.

I think the local paper would be surprised at how ‘forgiving’ its local readers are of their elected officials.

It’s the ‘Hide and go seek’ we find distasteful.

I’m no fan of the Sheriff, but I do not hope he is in poor health. Sometimes the stress let’s you know when it’s time to ‘stop’ and make peace.

Peace I bring you Sheriff, peace I leave with you Sheriff!

To Under Sheriff Zinke, my advise, “Be your own man!” No matter what or whom tries to influence you, be the man you want people to respect and trust.

If you remember to do this, you have a chance to bring honor not only to your office, but more importantly, to “Yourself!”

Our Political wars are now over. We welcome you with a ‘Clean Slate.’
