The Friday forum featured candidates for Districts 2, 3 and 4 minus County Board Chairman Ken Koehler and Lyn Orphal.
I’ll get to the contents as soon as time allows. Suffice is to say that the first question concerned the County Board’s bare majority vote to raise property taxes the maximum amount allowed by law.
One candidate, Tom Wilbeck of Lakewood, running in District 2, said that was what inspired his last minute candidacy.
I hope the sponsors ask the same tax question tomorrow.
Tom sounds like a legitimate fiscal conservative that will finally do something about our out of control property taxes. He’ll get my vote!!
