Rep. Walsh Votes Yes for Bipartisan Tax Cut
WASHINGTON- Congressman Joe Walsh (IL-8) voted for the Payroll Tax Holiday Agreement that was passed today in the House. Among other provisions, this bill will protect American workers from a tax increase through December 2012, reform the unemployment insurance program, and provide a one year patch preventing a 27% cut in Medicare payments for physicians.
Walsh stated: “Whenever I have the opportunity to let Americans keep more of their money, I will always vote to do so.
“For the past four years the big government policies of higher taxes and more spending have failed our country.
“While I do not agree with every provision in this agreement, at the end of the day this bill is a step in the right direction.
“The American people are the ones who will get this country working again and we must continue to fight to let them keep more of their hard earned dollars.”

What garbage is this anyway?? The way I understand this bill is that the unemployment insurance provision inthe bill [of which was snuck in ] is slated to be paid for through an increase in retirement contributions from future federal and postal employees and rehired employees starting 2013.
This would raise contributions to 3.1% up from 0.8%. An increase of 2.3%. How is that for slaming the MIDDLE CLASS for more of their money??
