Unemployment in Illinois remains significantly higher than the national average. The Quinn administration’s response has been to raise taxes, fail to meaningfully reduce spending and avoid fundamental regulatory reforms needed to change course.
Congressman Randy Hultgren has supported a pro-job creation agenda as a member of the U.S. House and he supports Karen McConnaughay’s agenda for job creation at the state level. The two Republican leaders will discuss their support for tax reductions, regulatory reform and reduced state spending designed to greatly improve the job climate in Illinois.
Congressman Hultgren will also announce his support for McConnaughay’s candidacy for the Illinois State Senate.

McConnaughay is facing off against Cliff Surges for the open 33rd State Senate District.
Randy seem to get confused. He cannot figure out if he is conservative or establishment.
He did endorse Lauzen and Lauzen endorses Surgess.
Get a grip, Randy, you will have to carry the baggage for the people you support.
I am supporting the REAL conservative, Surgess.
I was impressed by Hultgren until I saw this endorsement; very big mistake, I think.
Has Randy read the Chicago papers for McConnaughay’s record?
If he hasn’t, then he should read them before taking the leap.
Randy: is this endorsement payback to the elephants that got you and Joe Walsh in different districts for a free ride in the primary?
