George Hoffman Named New Assistant State’s Attorney

NEW ASSISTANT STATE’S ATTORNEY GEORGE HOFFMAN OFFERS THIRTY YEARS OF LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, is pleased to announce that George M. Hoffman has joined the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office as an assistant state’s attorney in the Civil Division effective March 6, 2012.

Hoffman, who has been practicing law for three decades, has extensive legal experience in federal and state courts, preparing and trying cases involving a wide variety of disputes, including: antitrust, copyright infringement, contracts, real property, bankruptcy, RICO, insurance coverage, class actions, shareholder derivative claims, professional liability, premises liability, consumer fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practices, Section 1983 claims and employment-related matters. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, privately-held companies, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals.

Hoffman graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 1981. He was a partner in the Chicago Law Firm of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg, where he worked for many years. He subsequently was employed for a decade at the law firm of Stamos & Trucco LLP in Chicago.

  1. This is a sad day when an attorney goes to states attorneys office after 30 years. Either there is a problem with no work or he is just looking for pension.
