Mary and Joe Alger spend their time and resources to preserve and extend what is great about America and McHenry County.
Whether or not you agree with them and the Tea Party 100% of the time does not matter much.
They are genuinely caring people that have skin in the game of standing for liberty.

The theme for this year’s event is “Reform Government, Cut Spending & Preserve Liberty.” We’ll come together once again in downtown Chicago, where the Tea Party movement began. Our goal is to make government more accountable, stop out-of-control spending and stand up for freedom and individual liberty.
The 2012 Chicago Tax Day Tea Party will feature nationally known speakers, local liberty leaders and regular Americans who are making a difference. However, the real stars of the tea party will be you — the thousands of concerned citizens joining together in Daley Plaza.

We are now at a turning point in the battle against big government. Oral arguments on Obamacare begin March 26, 2012 in the U.S. Supreme Court. According to the Bureau of Public Debt, at the U.S. Treasury Department, our National Debt has now increased more during President Obama’s three years and two months in office than it did during 8 years of the George W. Bush Presidency. Yet the Obama administration and public sector unions and their supporters are still pushing for higher taxes, more spending and even greater debt. We will continue our fight for smaller government, more freedom, fiscal responsibility and a brighter future for our children. We can achieve these goals together.

LC Truth- where do you get off using “truth” in your handle.
Hah, the Tea Party (taxed enough already) will always be around as long as we have inept politicians taxing us to death because they have no other answer to their over spending to pay back their buddies, and and of course as long as there are stupid people who vote for them.
Get used to us, we’re hear as long as the taxpayer is being abused.
I can only gather you’re a “Taker” (not an earner/taxpayer) by your wish that the Tea Party would come to an end.
If I was in Mary’s district, I’d have voted for her no question.
I disagree with her on one issue, which county government has little bearing on.
On 80% of the issues I agree with her, and that’s more than I can say about 97% of current elected officials and candidates.
