A press release from Congressman Joe Walsh:

Rep. Walsh Votes to Save Medicare

Today Congressman Joe Walsh voted in favor of the Republican Budget, the only budget which saves Medicare, actually balances, and puts our country on a path to solvency.

Walsh stated: “Everyone, Republicans and Democrats alike, knows that Medicare will end in 8 to 10 years if we don’t fix it.

Only the House Republicans have put forth a budget to fix it and save it, not the Democrats and certainly not the President.

“Everyone knows that if we do not do something about our country’s debt right now, our kids and grandkids will be stuck with the bill. That is unconscionable. Only the Republicans approved a budget that actually balances. The Senate has failed to pass a budget in the past 3 years while the President put forth a budget that never, ever, ever, ever, ever balances.

“My opponent, Tammy Duckworth, proposes to do nothing when it comes to Medicare. By doing so she is allowing Medicare to die.

“My opponent, Tammy Duckworth, supports a budget that grows our debt and never, ever, ever, ever, ever balances. As a result she is allowing our kids and our grandkids to become indentured servants.

“I believe the American people are responsible enough to do what is right for future generations.

“Tammy Duckworth does not. The choice in this election is clear.”

  1. Hey Walsh start reforming you and your cohorts benefits package first. Be a leader. It’s taken a lot for social security to get to where it is today and ‘reform’ is not going to solve it. Another feel good bunch of horse fertilizer.

  2. Odd that Walsh doesn’t brag about the huge massive tax breaks given to oil companies in the budget he voted for. I think his constituents would love to hear him explain why they deserve EVEN bigger profits while they are currently charging us $4.50 a gallon. as always, “Joe” is looking out for the billionaires he represents.

  3. Funny how this website refuses to cover the horrifically offensive comments by deadbeat dad Joe Walsh dismissing Duckworth losing her legs in service to our country.

  4. Why does anyone even listen to a deadbeat dad that is supposedly fiscally conservative?

A guy who disparages his opponent, a decorated air pilot who lost 2 legs and a partial arm in combat.

This loser is such a coward he never even served in the military.

It’s easy to save Socail Security, if it even needs saving.

Just raise the contibution cap so that millionaires and billionaires contribute the same percentage rate on all their income, just like the rest of us.

The Paul Ryan budget steals from the elderly, disabled and hard working middle class to give more tax breaks to the rich and more subsidies to the oil companies.

We need to get serious in America. People of Illinois need to dump this creep and get a real repr

    esentative.
