Crystal Lake Police Not Requested to Help with NATO Conference Security

Crystal Lake Police car.

Earlier this month McHenry County Blog readers learned that the Chicago Police Department had not reached out to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department for assistance in providing security at the NATO Conference.

Last last week, the City of Crystal Lake replied to a Freedom of Information request concerning whether its Police Department had been contacted for assistance.

The short answer is “No.”

  1. This is not news and it is not worthy of a FOIA request.

    Who cares?

I prefer that our officers stay out of Chicago business.

    Unless it’s Lowery.

Send him on a one way ticket.

  2. Strange how all of the local PD’s in ILEAS ended up in Chicago and NOBODY knew about it???????

They didn’t lie on the FOI.

Just didn’t ask the right questions.

Somtimes the answer isn’t what you wanted.

    They were not called DIRECTLY.

The officers are part of ILEAS and ILEAS was activated.

They’ve knew fpr weeks and weeks.
