How serious are Catholics about this election?
Take a look:
Catholics and non-Catholics, and all citizens, need to play close attention to this.
The HHS mandate is not about contraception – it is all about our 1st amendment.
When I was at the Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally in Rockford a couple of months ago, at the Rockford Diocese, I saw some of my Evangelical and Lutheran friends there!
WE ARE ALL CATHOLICS NOW.
You have a very skewed interpretation of the 1st Amendment.
LC? You may be the only one that could say that. First Amendment goes down completely if this is allowed to stand. We have been mandated a nudge at a time into loosing our freedoms.
I am NOT a CATHOLICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t understand why Catholics are so against this healthcare mandate.
Doesn’t it help others?
I know I benefit from it.
It’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.
As far as the birth control portion, no one is forcing anyone to take birth control.
But if the insurance companies that the Catholic institution uses is forced to provide birthcontrol to those that request it, so what?
Many different faiths are employed by the Church.
The church shouldn’t feel like it’s their job to force their laws upon them. (Sharia Law, anyone?)
If the Church stops accepting federal funds, only then would I feel they have an argument.
