Zinke Plans Fund Raiser as Sheriff Nrygren Continues to Pump Him Up

June 25, 2012 By: Cal Skinner Category: Andy Zinke, Keith Nygren, McHenry County Sheriff, McHenry County Sheriff's Department

The Northwest Herald broke the story of Andy Zinke's deisre to replace Keith Nyrgren as Sheirff the end of last September.

I guess the Daily Herald must have missed out on McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren’s last rollout of his favored successor in the Northwest Herald.

That was about eight months ago.

In any event, the DH used a fund raiser for Undersheriff Andy Zinke to be held on June 30th.

It was scheduled to be at the Cederlund Residence at 17421 Marengo Road in Union, but has been switched to Donley’s Banquets and Wild West Town because of the number who are coming. (That’s what I got out of the email to Republican Precinct Committeemen…excluding me, of course.)

Nygren said that Zinke “will be the best sheriff we ever had,” according to the article.

The price is $30.

In the article, Zinke reports the Department is “is developing a new website and live crime mapping system (indirect quote).”

That’s mildly interesting in view of a Rockford firm’s claim to have designed it.

I’m waiting for the Department just to post press releases in a timely fashion, defined as when they send them to the Northwest Herald, DH and Tribune. (That’s a “constructive suggestion,” such as Zinke’s web site invites.)

  1. “The best sheriff we ever had” would be a comment Nygren would only make about someone who is just like him.

    Andy IS just like him!!

maybe the voters and GOP folks should think twice about backing Nygren’s boy.

The people at the Sheriff’s Office do not trust him and see that he will bring more politics to the office than Nygen did.

Please someone else run against him!

He reminds me of the old Temptations song “Smiling Faces”

    It fits Zinke perfectly.

Gotta love this guy. He calls the Greg Pyle pedophile problem a “domestic issue”.

    Greg keeps getting paid.

    Wonder why??

He does NOT have all of that money due him.

Could he have a treasure chest of info??

My earlier comment is awaiting moderation but may I add that Sgt.Pyle was quite close to Zinke and Nygren and the current upper command persons.

He was there to support Nygren in the anti Sheriff blogs and had his own counter blog.

Anyone think for a minute that his blog was not condoned by the higher ups at the Sheriff Office?

When Nygren said he had unused benefit time that he was using was a total fabrication. (AKA LIE)

The deputies know the contract (yes Sgt.Pyle was a non contractural employee but still gets the same benefits) and the benefit policy. There is NO WAY he could use that much accured benefit time. This was a total lie.

Why doesn’t someone FOIA the benefit package and figure out how he could still be on paid time?

The employees at the Dept are afraid to speak out and must resort to using public computers for fear of being fireds for speaking truth.

Oscar, there are two sides to every story.

    You give only yours.

    Enough said.
