From attending previous Teeni Weenie Bikini fund raisers held by McHenry County Board member Barb Wheeler, I know that one cam find drinks other than the advertised martinis.
Wine is served, as are soft drinks.
I haven’t found my favorite drink yet (Kahlua and skim milk–one has to save calories somewhere, right?), but there are interesting attendees.
Last time I was surprised to see former McHenry County State’s Attorney Gary Pack, for instance.
This year’s event is being held the last Saturday night of the month, July 28th. (RSVP by the 24th.)
4-7 is the announced time and swimming is encouraged.
The location is Lindy’s Landing at 115 Park Street in Wauconda.
No set price again, although “sponsorships” are solicited at $1,000 a pop.

Mr. Klatu is very naive.
Barb has been a great County Board member and while I have not agreed with every position she has taken on some of the issues, I know she sticks to her guns and is very sincere in her efforts.
I wil support her run for the State Rep position because I believe she is the new generation of representative and will do all in her power to get this State straightened out.
I think klatu was just sayin….. No need to raise money, she is un-opposed.
She has it nailed in the bag and gets two more years.

For someone who has stated that her County Board job only takes eight hours a month, I am sure we will see the continued non-informed voting continue in Springfield.

By the way, the swimming at Lindy’s is a joke, the water is about 2 feet deep at the most.
